Even the basic version of WinDoPlan contains all important functions, including a profile configurator with all couplings and secondary profiles, the U-value calculation, the static pre-dimensioning, the calculation of wind loads and a BIM interface. The range of functions can be additionally extended by special modules. One of the most important advantages of WinDoPlan: The database of the tool is continuously maintained by VEKA. Thus, window planning is always based on current system data, standards and processing guidelines.
BIM-capable planning with WinDoPlan
Building Information Modeling, or BIM for short, is the planning method of the future. As of fall 2022, BIM will already be mandatory in Germany for all public building construction projects of the federal government, and further steps towards its mandatory introduction are planned. With BIM, construction projects are built twice: Digitally on the PC and in real terms on the construction site. Even during the digital planning phase, all the trades involved work on one and the same model. This model thus includes all relevant information, which means that collision checks, for example, can be carried out at an early stage. The BIM method can be used to optimize the planning, execution and management of buildings.
With WinDoPlan and the corresponding plug-in you are able to generate BIM windows & doors for Revit® & IFC automatically. Using BIM data, you can plan a construction project holistically in 3-D. Even if structural changes are made, the updated data is immediately incorporated into the BIM models and is available to all parties involved.
Additional modules
The WinDoPlan planning solution consists not only of the planning software for window and door configuration and the BIM plugin. You also have the possibility to choose from various additional modules. The modules can be used in a modular and integrative way, allowing you to select the supplements that suit you best, depending on your own needs and requirements.
